Yellow Wheel is committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all young people, particularly those who are a part of our organisation. All staff, volunteers and contractors of Yellow Wheel are required to observe child safe principles and expectations for appropriate behaviour towards and in the company of children, as detailed in our Code of Conduct. All organisations in Victoria that provide services or facilities for children are required to comply with Child Safe Standards, to ensure that the safety of children is promoted, child abuse is prevented and allegations of child abuse are properly responded to. For more information, visit https://dhhs.vic.gov.au/publications/child-safe-standards.

Yellow Wheel also bases it’s child safe practices off of the 11 Child Safe Standards, as stated on the Victorian Government’s Commission for Children and Young People website.
